Molar Madness

Last week Hadley became really fussy, was drooling a ton and chewing on everything. I thought, great here come more teeth. I checked her mouth to see which ones were coming in and saw nothing. This went on for a few days and her grumpiness was gettingnworse.I decided to risk getting my finger bitten and feel for something. Low and frickin behold, not one, but both of her first year molars had popped through. Mom fail! Why didn't I think of that being the reason in the first place? We are still in the middle of them coming through, so there are lots of cuddles and sleepless nights. As hard as these bouts are, she still manages to be a silly little maniac. I've even gotten a few unprompted Eskimo kisses!

Not much else is happening around here. She's currently been napping for three hours!! She needs the rest. I'm off to enjoy some coffee!

Where has the time gone?

I cannot believe I haven't posted anything about Hadley's 1st birthday bash. We have been so busy and if I'm not chasing H around, I'm cleaning or sleeping, haha. She has been SO much fun lately! I am hoping to have some time tonight or tomorrow to recap what has been going on lately. Off to feed her din...

Silly Faces and Randoms

This morning during breakfast I thought it would be fun to let Hadley use her spoon so she can get used to feeding herself. The spoon went right in the mouth and out came the giggles and silly faces. I turned the front facing camera on and was able to snap a few good ones.

This will probably turn into her wanting to play with her spoon during all meals now, haha.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful all week. I happily welcome spring! I did find myself missing the cold, snow-filled winters that we had in Delaware though. Although, by this time of year I was usually cursing the cold away.

My grandpa is coming to visit today. I love this man so much. He is almost 88 and in the best shape ever. He rides his bike everywhere, swims, plays golf a few times a week and just loves to be outdoors. He is very intelligent and super funny. Just one of those people you genuinely love to be around. So, needless to say, I am super looking forward to his visit.

Alright, little miss is up from her nap. I think we'll take advantage of this sunshine and have lunch outside today :)

Birthday Month

I have officially kicked it into turbo mode with the birthday planning. Our guest list has hit a number that I am embarrassed to admit. I should have expected this with the outcome of my baby shower though, haha.

In the midst of the birthday chaos, Hadley has been changing so much and I feel the need to document it. She now says dada (specifacally to Tye, but for a lot of other things as well), bah bah (bye bye) while doing the cutest little wave, dah (dog), and today she started saying nana and pointing at the bananas! Too cute! there is one thing she still has yet to say, kind of an important one in my opinion... Mama. She has said it before, but not with intent. So, I'll continue impatiently   patiently waiting for that day to come :)

I have more updates but Blogger is having some issues and making it sort of hard to keep typing. I hope to be back throughout the week with more Hadley stats and some March festivity fun!

Teething Madness

Oh my! Our sweet girl is not one who has an easy time teething. She was late to cut teeth but is now sporting four lovely chompers. She's been teething hard for the last 3 days. I am hoping and praying that she'll have this next one soon. I do not believe in pumping her full of meds all of the time,  so we've been trying everything under the sun to keep her comfy. We have been giving her infant Tylenol at night when we've had a rough day though. There have been a few nights where she has woken and has trouble falling back to sleep. Two nights ago I was up for nearly three hours with her. This is so unusual because she normally sleeps for 10-11 hours.  Bless her sweet teething heart!

Happy Month Full of Love!

I've never been into Valentine's Day at all. I think it's an overrated holiday that puts too much pressure on people. With that being said, I've completely changed my view now that I have a child. She's not old enough to understand what's going on, but what fun we're having planning out her 1st Valentine's Day. The bright colors, overloads of glitter and hearts of every size have me giddy for her. I never thought I'd enjoy this holiday but I've gone as far as planning out 14 pink and red outfits to dress her in. That's only slightly embarrassing, haha. I'm hoping that I'll be able to find the time each day to document her cute little get ups. For now I'm going to enjoy my Shakeology while she naps!

2013

We are only 2 weeks into this year and I feel like so much has happened. Between all of us being sick, the chaos of the holidays and Hadley cutting three (possibly four now) teeth, time has flown faster than I thought possible.

Although the holidays were chaotic, it was so exciting and fun to make every step of the season special for her. We rang in the new year in a cozy and mild fashion at home, curled up on the couch watching Dick Clark's NYE special. Hadley even slept through all of the noise going on in the neighborhood at midnight.

I've never been big on making resolutions, but I enjoy changing things up and making improvements where it's needed. This year I want to focus on making more media free family time, eating cleaner and staying organized. Cheers to a new year and new memories to be made!
